NJ Ammunition Purchasing Rules
In New Jersey you are required by law to have an active firearms permit, this permit can be either an NJFID, permit to purchase a firearm, or a permit to carry a firearm. In addition to having a permit, you must also be at the age requirement of being at least 21 years old. If you meet both of these requirements you will be able to purchase ammunition in South Jersey.
As a dealer of ammunition in South Jersey, we are required by law to keep and maintain a permanent record of all ammunition sales. We make note of the manufacturer, type of ammo, caliber or gauge, and the quantity of the ammo purchased. We will also take down your name, address, and date of birth.
New Jersey prohibits any person from knowingly manufacturing, possessing, transporting, shipping, disposing of, or selling armor piercing, hollow tip, or expanding ammunition.
